Getting a scholarship is every student’s goal; but it is also every student’s turmoil. Due to lack of information and the complicated process, students encounter a myriad of struggles to get through the application.

With this dilemma, the Study in Japan Fair was held at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center on October 20, Saturday, to provide students necessary and complete information on applying for scholarships for bachelor or master programs in Japan. The event also gave students tips on how to successfully pass scholarship applications.

The event has become an annual event since it first started in 2008 by the CJCC. It is also strongly supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Embassy of Japan in Cambodia, Royal University of Phnom Penh, Japan International Cooperation Agency and other institutions.

Study in Japan Fair 2018 was filled with interaction among Cambodian students who aspire to obtain higher education in Japan and those who have already graduated from Japanese universities. Everyone share their ideas and experiences. Students toured around the booths of different universities to gather academic information.

Through the fair, students now have clear idea on how they can start their scholarship applications, how they will adjust to the new environment and how they will succeed in Japan. They were also given information on school admission, enrollment processes, majors, tuition and regulations.

Cambodian students also met the representatives from six universities from Japan – Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Waseda University, Asia University, the Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan and Toyo University.
