Culture Day in Japan – Bunka no Hi – Buffalo Rising

[ad_1]

On Sunday November 5, join Friends of the Buffalo Japanese Garden for the Celebration of the 10th anniversary of Japanese Culture Day (Bunka no Hi). Every year, friends and family gather at the Buffalo History Museum to celebrate Japan’s rich heritage – heritage, arts, traditions, geography, and people. During the event, visitors have the chance to participate in a myriad of activities, including bonsai, calligraphy, cosplay, traditional dance, folk songs, ikebana, Japanese garden highlights, origami, taiko drums and tea demonstrations.

It’s a wonderful celebration that showcases the beauty of Japan, without traveling halfway around the world. If you’ve traveled the country before or wanted to learn more about the heritage and customs, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect or reconnect with the island nation.
